Next, use a seal removal tool or a large screwdriver to pry out the wheel seal, being cautious not to damage the seal bore. For installation, use a seal installer or a large deep socket as a drift to drive the new wheel seal into the bore squarely and ensure it is completely seated. Lubricate the lip of the new seal with multi-purpose grease and then install the wheel, taking care not to damage the seal's lip.
