- A:Disconnect the electrical harness at the front of the switch, have an assistant depress the brake pedal downward all the way and pull the switch out of the tubular clip in the bracket located in front of the brake pedal. Remove the old clip from the hole in the metal bracket, install a new clip into the bracket, insert the new switch until the body of the switch seats on the clip, have your assistant release pressure on the pedal, pull the pedal out until it rests against its internal stop, plug the electrical harness in securely and test the system.Posted by GMPartsGiant Specialist
