The first step is to disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

To remove the throttle body, start by relieving the fuel system pressure and disconnecting the negative battery terminal. Remove the engine cover and disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle body. Disconnect the fuel supply and return lines, remove the bracket bolt, and loosen the nuts attaching the fuel lines to the throttle body. Remove the fuel injector hold-down plate nuts and plate, then push the injector out of the throttle body. For installation, replace the injector O-rings and apply a light coat of clean engine oil before pressing the injector into the throttle body. Install the injector hold-down plate and nuts, then install the throttle body onto the intake manifold bracket. Inspect and replace damaged fuel line O-rings and retainers, then install the fuel lines and bracket. Install the upper intake manifold, EVAP purge valve, and ignition coil/module assembly. Inspect and replace seals if necessary. Install the poppet nozzles and ensure they are properly seated. Install the throttle body with a new gasket. The remaining steps are the reverse of removal. Finally, activate the fuel pump by turning the ignition switch to ON and check for fuel leakage in the fuel lines and throttle body.
