- A:To remove the instrument cluster, start by disconnecting the negative cable from the battery. Then, remove the lower left sound insulator panel and the knee bolster. Next, remove the instrument cluster bezel and the screws securing the cluster to the instrument panel. Pull the cluster forward enough to disconnect the electrical connectors at the back, and then pull the cluster out, tilting the bottom out first. These models have a Connector Position Assurance (CPA) type of connector, so move the lever away from the wiring end to release the connector. To install the instrument cluster, simply reverse the removal steps. Push the CPA lever back toward the wiring end of the connector to make a secure connection.Posted by GMPartsGiant Specialist
