    Q:
How should you address front and rear wheel or wheel bearing looseness on Cadillac Fleetwood? Posted by Customer
    A:
For front wheel or wheel bearing looseness in front wheel drive vehicles, torque lug nuts and axle nuts to specification and recheck for looseness. If the wheel bearing is worn or damaged, it should be replaced. If the wheel bearing is out of adjustment, adjust it to specification; if it remains loose, replacement is necessary. For rear wheel or wheel bearing looseness in front wheel drive vehicles, adjust the wheel bearing to specification; if it is still loose, replace it. Additionally, torque lug nuts to specification and recheck for looseness, and replace the wheel bearing if it is worn or damaged.

    Q:
How to remove the wheel bearing and oil seal on Chevrolet C1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Remove the axleshaft and the oil seal. A bearing puller which grips the bearing from behind will be required for this job. Attach a slide hammer to the puller and extract the bearing from the axle housing. Clean out the bearing recess and drive in the new bearing with a bearing installer or a piece of pipe positioned against the outer bearing race. Use a special bearing installer, large socket or piece of pipe to tap the bearing into the axle housing. Make sure the bearing is tapped into the full depth of the recess and the numbers on the bearing are visible from the outer end of the axle housing. Install a new oil seal, then install the axle shaft.

    Q:
How to remove and install a rear Wheel Bearing, Wheel Hub and Wheel Seal on GMC Yukon? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove and install a rear hub assembly, first remove the axleshaft and rear wheels, then remove the brake disc and retaining ring/key from the end of the axle housing. Use a special socket to remove the adjusting nut and pull the hub assembly straight off the axle tube. Discard the oil seal and clean and inspect all components for wear or damage. Disassemble the hub further if necessary, then clean and reassemble using new bearing cups and lubricating with wheel bearing grease. To install, place the hub assembly on the axle tube and adjust the bearings by tightening the adjusting nut to 50 ft-lbs, then backing it off and tightening it hand-tight. Install the key and retaining ring, and ensure there is no play in the hub assembly before reinstalling the axleshaft and lowering the vehicle.
