- A:The rear of the driveshaft should be slid into the splines in the transfer case output shaft, and the front end attached to the differential companion flange with the marks aligned. The clamps and bolts should be installed and tightened to the correct torque specifications, and the boot pushed up over the transfer case output shaft and seated into its groove before a new clamp is installed and crimped into place with clamp-crimping pliers.Posted by GMPartsGiant Specialist
