What is the removal process for the 1998 Chevrolet Blazer of Shock Absorbers? Posted by Donny Y.
    A:
The removal process for 2WD models involves removing the upper shock mounting nut using a backup wrench, followed by removing the retainer and grommet. The vehicle is then raised and supported on jackstands, and the lower end of the shock absorber is detached from the lower control arm by removing two bolts. The shock absorber can then be pulled out from below, and the lower grommet and retainer are removed from the stem. You can Select Your Vehicle to see complete installation and repair tips.
