If it's dirty, clean it with solvent or carburetor cleaner. Make sure that the solvent or carb cleaner is safe for oxygen sensor systems and catalytic converters. Remove the air intake duct. Disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle body. Remove the throttle body mounting fasteners and remove the throttle body. Remove the old throttle body gasket and discard it. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to use a new gasket and tighten the throttle body mounting fasteners to the torque specifications. Start the engine, then verify that the throttle body operates correctly and that there are no air leaks.
