How to replace the HVAC pressure switch on Pontiac G6? Posted by Customer
    A:
When it comes to the HVAC Pressure Switch, it is threaded onto a Schrader valve and this shows that there is no need for discharging the air conditioning system so as to replace it. Nonetheless, if either extreme occurs, this sensor will protect the system from running. To modify it, unplug the electrical connector from the sensor first. Next, unscrew the sensor from the Schrader valve using a back-up wrench on the fitting for the sensor to avoid damaging the refrigerant line. Then lubricate switch 0-ring with clean refrigerant oil of correct type. After screwing on new sensor threads until hand tight and then tighten securely. Finally, reconnect electrical connector.

    Q:
How to remove and install an HVAC pressure switch in an air conditioning system on Chevrolet Suburban? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the low-pressure switch, start by unplugging the electrical connector and then unscrewing the switch. For installation, screw the new switch onto the threads until hand tight and then tighten it securely before reconnecting the electrical connector. To remove the pressure sensor, unplug the electrical connector from the sensor near the air conditioning compressor and then remove the sensor from the air conditioning line fitting while holding the fitting using an open-end wrench to prevent deforming the pressure line. For installation, install the pressure sensor and then tighten it securely.
