- A:To remove a wheel hub bolt from a vehicle, start by loosening the wheel lug nuts and raising the vehicle securely on jackstands. Once the vehicle is raised, remove the wheel and then the brake disc. To remove the wheel hub bolt, use a press tool to push it out of the hub flange. For installation, insert the new wheel hub bolt into the hub flange from the back side and secure it in place by installing flat washers and a lug nut on the bolt. Tighten the lug nut until the bolt is seated in the flange. Next, reinstall the brake disc and caliper, followed by the wheel and lug nuts.
