On models with manual mirrors and models where it's detachable from the door panel, remove the front door interior sail panel using a trim tool to pry off the mirror panel. On models where it's not detachable, the whole door panel must be removed. Remove the foam insulator, if equipped. If you're removing a power mirror, disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the three mirror retaining nuts and detach the mirror from the vehicle by disconnecting the electrical connector and removing the mirror mounting nuts. Installation is the reverse of removal. To remove the mirror glass, push the face of the mirror in at the bottom until the mirror reaches the stop. Insert a trim removal tool behind the glass until it reaches the first support rib, then pry outward carefully until the mirror glass is free. Install the mirror glass and align the mirror face to the backing plate. Carefully apply pressure to the glass, using a thick pad across the glass until the mirror glass clicks into place. To remove the inside mirror, loosen the mirror retaining screw and slide the mirror up and off its base. Where equipped, disconnect the electrical connector at the mirror. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the screw securely. If the mount plate itself has come off the windshield, adhesive kits are available at auto parts stores to resecure it. Follow the instructions included with the kit.
