- Q:How do you remove the rear stabilizer bar on Cadillac DeVille and DTS? Posted by Customer
- A:To remove the sway bar kit on a vehicle, start by loosening the rear wheel lug nuts and blocking the front wheels. Then, raise the rear of the vehicle and secure it on jackstands. Remove the rear wheels and detach the sway bar kit links from the control arms if working on a 1999 DeVille, or detach the sway bar kit link bolt/bushing assembly from each control arm if working on a Seville or a 2000 or later DeVille or DTS. Take note of how the bushings and washers are arranged. Next, remove the sway bar kit clamp bolts and remove the sway bar kit. If replacing the sway bar kit or the bracket bushings, bend the end of the clamp open and remove the bushings, making sure to note the position of the slits. To install, follow the reverse of the removal steps and tighten the fasteners to the specified torque. Finally, tighten the wheel lug nuts to the torque specifications.Posted by GMPartsGiant Specialist
