- A:Remove the steering wheel and the steering column cover. With the ignition switch in the Start position, insert a small Allen wrench into the hole in the top of the casting, press the release pin, rotate the key to the Run position, and pull the lock cylinder out. - A:On models equipped with a Delco Loc II anti-theft audio system, be sure the lockout feature is turned off before performing any procedure which requires disconnecting the battery. 1984 through 1994 models: Remove the steering wheel, the steering lock plate and the warning buzzer switch. Remove the ignition lock cylinder retaining screw, turn the key to the On position and remove the lock cylinder from the steering column. Remove the retaining screw and pull the lock cylinder out of the housing. Installation is the reverse of removal. 1995 and later models: Remove the steering wheel. Remove the steering column cover. With the ignition switch in the Start position, insert a small Allen wrench into the hole in the top of the casting, press the release pin and rotate the key to the Run position and pull the lock cylinder out.
