  Q: How do you remove the crankshaft position sensor on a Chevrolet Equinox,GMC Terrain and Pontiac Torrent?

  A: To remove the crankshaft position sensor on a 3.4L V6 model, raise the vehicle and disconnect the wiring from the CKP sensor and unscrew the mounting fastener to remove the sensor and for 3.0L and 3.6L V6 engines, follow the same steps. If you're working on 2009 and earlier models, you'll also need to remove the transfer case, or on 2010 and later models, remove the right-side Catalytic Converter. Installation is the reverse of removal.
