    Q:
What are the steps for replacing Engine Mounts for the 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix? Posted by Tryton L.
    A:
For replacement, disconnect the negative battery cable and raise the vehicle on jackstands if not already done. Ensure that the Theftlock audio system's lockout feature is turned off before disconnecting the battery. Remove the engine torque strut, then raise the engine slightly with a jack or hoist, removing the fasteners to detach the mount from the frame. Next, remove the mount-to-block bracket bolts or nuts and detach the mount. You can Select Your Vehicle to see complete installation and repair tips.
