- Q:How to remove and install the Clutch Slave Cylinder? Posted by Customer
- A:Remove the transaxle. Using a flare-nut wrench, disconnect the hydraulic line fitting from the clutch slave cylinder. Remove the fasteners securing the clutch slave cylinder to the transaxle and slide the clutch slave cylinder assembly off the transaxle input shaft. Installation is the reverse of removal, noting the following points: Lubricate the clutch slave cylinder oil seal with a smear of transmission fluid. Apply a thread locking compound to the clutch slave cylinder mounting fasteners and tighten them to the specific torque. Tighten the hydraulic fitting securely, using a flare-nut wrench. Install the transaxle. Check the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir, adding brake fluid conforming to DOT 3 specifications until the level is correct.
