How to remove and install a radiator fan on Buick Century? Posted by Customer
    A:
In order to drain the cooling system you have to first disconnect the negative battery cable. Disconnect the electrical harness from the fan and remove the radiator fan mounting bolt. Also, remove radiator mounting bolt and radiator inlet hose from radiator. For this reason, pull windshield washer fluid bottle fill tube out of the bottle in some models. If necessary, take off bracket after removing vacuum tank. Then slide fan leg out of space left by vacuum tank to remove radiator fan properly. To install it back, you need to install radiator fan assembly together with vacuum tank bracket. Attach windshield washer fluid bottle fill tube if it has been removed and secure vacuum tank in place. When installing connect radiator inlet hose to radiator and ensure that you fix radiator mounting bolt correctly. Fasten down radiator fan using a suitable wrench; then connect electrical harness into position while fixing mounting bolts for the installation of radiator fans. Lastly secure air intake duct assembly again before reattaching negative battery cable which is still connected.

    Q:
How to remove and install the radiator fan on Cadillac ElDorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
For 4.5L and 4.9L engines on DeVille and Fleetwood,Disconnect the negative battery cable. Raise the vehicle and detach fan electrical connectors. Remove relevant components, like the air conditioning accumulator (for right fan) and the air cleaner intake duct for access. Remove the radiator fan assemblies. Installation is the reverse of removal. For front fan on Eldorado and Seville: Disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the radiator panel, detach the fan electrical connector, and take out the radiator fan by removing its retaining bolts. To install, reverse the process. For rear fan on Eldorado and Seville: Disconnect the battery, detach the fan connector, and remove the radiator fan-retaining bolts and other related components. To reinstall, reverse these steps. For 4.6L engines: Disconnect the battery, remove the beauty panel and engine torque support strut, detach the fan connector, and remove the radiator fan. To reinstall, follow the reverse process. To test the radiator fan motor: Check the fuse or circuit breaker. Disconnect the radiator fan motor, use a jumper wire to apply battery voltage, and check for continuity with an ohmmeter. Ensure proper ground circuit continuity. Only perform continuity checks on motor windings to avoid PCM damage.

How to remove the Fan Blade on Pontiac Fiero? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the fan motor, disconnect the battery's negative cable. Unplug the fan motor's electrical connector. Remove bolts securing the fan frame to the radiator and lift out the assembly. Detach the fan from the motor by removing the retaining nut and then unbolt the motor from the frame. To install, secure the new motor to the frame, reattach the fan, and reinstall the assembly. Connect the electrical plug and battery cable. Test the fan as the engine warms.
