- A:To remove the sensor, start by turning the ignition key to OFF. Then, raise the front of the vehicle and secure it on jackstands. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor and disengage the electrical harness from the bracket attached to the sensor. Next, remove the sensor retaining stud and take out the sensor. Dispose of the old O-ring and make sure to use a new one when installing the sensor, even if you plan on reusing the old sensor. To install the sensor, simply reverse the removal steps and tighten the sensor retaining stud securely.Posted by GMPartsGiant Specialist
