Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the instrument panel bezel. Remove the three screws attaching the A/C switch to the instrument panel. Pull the A/C switch back from the instrument panel. Remove the electrical connectors from the back of the switch. Remove the vacuum line connector from the rear of the switch using a screwdriver. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

Remove the four screws from the front of the control panel and carefully pull the control panel assembly from the instrument panel until the heater control can be disconnected. Remove the screws that attach the heater control to the panel and disconnect the lower switch connector and control cables.
